What does your job involve?
To me, software engineering is more than just coding, I consider it an art that can impact people’s lives. As such, my job involves crafting solutions that can empower or even change people’s lives.
Ìý
What is the most rewarding aspect of what you do?Ìý
The fact that it aligns with my passion and what I want to advocate for, which is quality that is put into our software development craft.
Ìý
We’d love to hear about your career journey. Can you talk about what led you to ºÚÁÏÃÅ and your decision to join ºÚÁÏÃÅ?Ìý
Ìý
I actually came to Thailand during the first year of Covid, my original plan was to work remotely from Thailand as a digital nomad. But my CEO from a software agency I worked previously for 6 years contacted me about an opening in ºÚÁÏÃÅ and encouraged me to try it out. I was skeptical at first because I was sick of agency work since that’s what I only ever worked on. But I took on the opportunity and talked to Thoughtworkers and got to learn more about them. This leads me to learning that ºÚÁÏÃÅ' way of working is actually something that I enjoy, because you as a developer get to be in the driver seat along with the rest of your team. That’s when I decided to join ºÚÁÏÃÅ.

What has been your favorite part of your ºÚÁÏÃÅ career to date?Ìý
Lunch & learn program where we have lunch and listen to a talk presented by other Thoughtworkers. I don't have to go through the pain of scrolling through online video streaming platforms to find something to watch while having food. Plus, I’m actually learning something, so it has been my favorite part of ºÚÁÏÃÅ.
Ìý
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of joining ºÚÁÏÃÅ?
Ìý
If learning new things and want to expand your horizon, come join us and it will be a great fit for you. However, if you want to be a specialist that excels at one area more than any others, I don’t think ºÚÁÏÃÅ might be a fit for you. I grew out of my specialist mindset when I was working here and actually changed my career path, but I know what I seek is not what you seek so reflecting yourself is the best way to determine what’s good for you.
Ìý
Anything else that you wanted to add about your ºÚÁÏÃÅ journey?
Ìý
The feedback culture here is amazing. I see it as getting another fresh perspective on yourself and this is incredibly useful for growing oneself to a higher level.
