Luciano is part of ourÌýglobal Learning & Development team, building programs andÌýplatforms to help Thoughtworkers master new technologies. He was hiredÌýas a developer in 2015, right after releasing Fluent Python -- aÌýbest-selling O'Reilly book published in seven languages so far.Ìý

As aÌýdeveloper with ºÚÁÏÃÅ, Luciano has worked on different clientÌýprojects using Python, Node.js, and Ruby (so far), in differentÌýdomains. The work he's done has often been related to IoT applications collectingÌýdata and/or controlling equipment deployed in the field.Ìý

Luciano is passionate about programming language design andÌýapplications, and is constantly looking at emerging languages toÌýunderstand and spread the word about the most compelling business useÌýcases for them. Currently he is focusing on Go and Elixir, besidesÌýPython. For the second year in a row, he is the curator of theÌý"Languages of The 21st Century" track for the QCon São PauloÌýconference.

A firm believer in self-directed learning, Luciano co-founded GaroaÌýHacker Clube, a hackerspace in São Paulo, Brazil, the mega-city whereÌýhe lives and works when he is not visiting different ºÚÁÏÃÅÌýoffices or speaking at conferences around the world.
