NoSQL Distilled
NoSQL Distilled

The definitive guide to NoSQL databases

A decade ago, few would have predicted the rise of NoSQL, such was the dominance relational databases. But in their book, NoSQL distilled, Pramod Sadalage and Martin Fowler identified the tech's potential, identifying use cases along with the architectural and design implications of deploying such databases.

Today, where the ability to handle large volumes of diverse types of data is a given, NoSQL databases have become business-critical. This prescient book is packed with ideas and explanations that are as valuable today as when it was first published.

Director

At ºÚÁÏÃÅ Pramod enjoys the rare role of bridging the divide between database professionals and application developers. He is usually sent in to clients with particularly challenging data needs, which require new technologies and techniques. In the early 00’s he developed techniques to allow relational databases to be designed in an evolutionary manner based on version-controlled schema migrations. He is contributing author for Building Evolutionary Architectures - Support Constant Change, co-author of Refactoring Databases, co-author of NoSQL Distilled, author of Recipes for Continuous Database Integration and continues to speak and write about the insights he and his clients learn.

Chief Scientist

Martin is an author and a speaker who is particularly interested in how software can be designed so we can easily add useful capabilities for many years. In 2000, he joined ºÚÁÏÃÅ, where his role is to learn about the techniques that we've learned to deliver software for our clients, and pass these techniques on to the wider software industry.Ìý

He has written a number of books on software development, including Refactoring and Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture.
